Making Coffee With The BIGGEST Moka Pot Ever Made
-
Background: Morgan receives an unexpected email offering an 18-cup Bialetti moka pot for free, as the owner wanted to declutter. Morgan excitedly accepts.
-
Collection Showcase: Morgan displays his existing collection, including a standard 6-cup Bialetti, a stainless steel version, a “Moo-ka” pot (cow design), a Gemini Express (dual spouts), and a tiny 1-cup pot.
-
Unboxing: The pot is enormous – almost child-sized and far bigger than the 6-cup model. Morgan calls it “Balerion the Black Dread.” The gasket and overall condition are good.
-
First Brew Attempt: He adds 680 g of preheated water and 68 g of medium-fine coffee. When heated, the pot sputters violently because the grind is too fine – most of the coffee ends up on the counter.
-
Second (Successful) Attempt: After cooling down and grinding coarser, the brew goes smoothly, producing a massive amount of moka coffee.
-
Taste and Conclusion: The coffee is very hot and strong. Morgan considers the pot more decorative than practical, as the yield is too large for one person. The longer water path alters extraction. The pot will appear in future videos as a background piece.
-
Note: Morgan jokingly asks viewers for even larger moka pots – he’d be willing to buy them.
