New Tesla Roadster: SpaceX Thrusters, 0.6sec 0-60mph & 330mph! | 4K
After nine years of development, the production Roadster has finally been revealed. The design is radically clean and futuristic, with a T-top roof, butterfly doors, and a long, wide silhouette. The interior is surprisingly spacious, with a low seat, yoke steering wheel, and a cockpit that feels like a pilot's station.
Four versions: From sports car to flying rocket- Roadster (base): Two electric motors on the rear axle, over 1,500 hp (1,000 kW), pure rear-wheel drive, target weight under 1,700 kg, range around 310–320 miles, fast charging at over 500 kW.
- Performance: More torque, active aerodynamics, adaptive suspension, ground-effect fans.
- Thrust: Adds a 200-liter COPV pressure vessel with compressed air (approx. 10,000 psi), four nozzles, 0-60 mph in about 0.85 seconds – one charge provides roughly 5 seconds of thrust.
- Rocket: Single seat, 600-liter tank, six additional thrusters for lift and yaw control. It can allegedly hover – a true “flying car.”
- Ground effect: Retractable side skirts and a venturi tunnel under the car suck it to the road – providing over 2 G of downforce.
- Active aero: Nearly every panel moves. A large rear wing doubles as an air brake and charging port cover.
- Steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire: No mechanical linkage – fully digital, with variable ratio and adaptive damping.
- Battery: New cell chemistry for high sustained power (800–1,000 V), dual-side cooling, fastest charging times.
The film looks back at the 2008 original, based on a Lotus Elise chassis – Tesla's first production car. With 248 hp and 244 miles of range, it was a milestone, even if it was long seen as a curiosity. The new Roadster now eclipses that vision.
ConclusionTesla has created a “Bugatti Veyron moment” with the new Roadster: impossible targets, passionate engineers, and a car that pushes the boundaries of what's possible. Love it or call it absurd – it's definitely not boring.
