Zenvo Aurora: The Danish Hypercar Twins
The Aurora is Zenvo's latest and most extreme hypercar, named after the Northern Lights – aiming to be light, fast, and beautiful with a touch of Danish design. It arrives in two fundamentally different variants: the Agill (track-focused) and the Tour (road-focused).
Powertrain: A Quad-Turbo V12 Hybrid Monster
- 6.6-liter V12 with four turbochargers – completely bespoke, producing 1,250 hp (920 kW) alone.
- 8-speed Ricardo gearbox with a 200-hp (150 kW) rear e-motor for smooth shifts and torque fill.
- Two additional e-motors on the front axle (200 hp/150 kW each) for all-wheel drive and torque vectoring.
- Total output: 1,850 hp (1,380 kW) – 0–62 mph in 2.3 seconds, 0–186 mph in 9.9 seconds, top speed 260 mph (418 km/h) at a 9,800 rpm redline.
- Meets Euro 7 emissions standards.
The Two Personalities: Tour vs. Agill
- Tour (Road): More bodywork, less wing, elegant longtail design. All-wheel drive – full 1,850 hp, 0–62 in 2.3s, top speed 260 mph. Dry weight approx. 1,550 kg.
- Agill (Track): Extreme aero, giant biplane wing, exposed push-rod suspension, skeletal appearance. Rear-wheel drive – 1,250 hp (no front motors), 0–62 in 2.5s, top speed 224 mph (360 km/h). Downforce of 880 kg at 155 mph. Dry weight only 1,300 kg – incredibly light.
Interior: Digital Detox with Drama
- No large screen – instead three analog rotary dials for climate/lights, a central rotating screen (optional).
- Thin carbon steering wheel with no stalks – metal paddle shifters. All secondary controls via rotary knobs.
- High-quality carbon fiber, fretwork inserts for speakers (tweeters, subwoofer).
- Digital rearview mirror, comfortable seats (despite race looks), generous legroom thanks to door-integrated sill.
- Agill: Even more carbon, Alcantara, harness option – pure race car feel.
