Bitcoin: Bottom Really Reached? - THESE two events will decide it!
Bitcoin is trading around $78,500, showing sideways movement. The analysis examines both bullish and bearish signals. Bullish factors include a breakout above the 55- and 100-week EMA (bullish weekly signal), increased capital inflows above the realized cap, and a likely bottom indicated by long-term holder supply in profit. Bearish factors are movements of old Bitcoin holdings (OG holders) – potential selling, high unrealized profit among whales (selling pressure), low trading volume, and cautious markets. Two fundamental events are decisive: the Clarity Act (Senate vote possibly on September 15) – could give crypto a positive boost but might become a sell-the-news event; and US inflation data on Friday as well as the Fed interest rate decision next week. Rising oil prices and inflation weigh on markets, while US bond buybacks support the debasement trade (gold & Bitcoin). Japan's yen interventions also impact bond markets. A sustained Bitcoin rally requires prices above $84,000. In altcoins, movements are seen in XRP, Chainlink, Polkadot, SiaCash (caution due to unclear supply), and Aerodome Finance, but overall market activity remains subdued – a Fear & Greed Index of 69 shows moderate greed.
